Michael Lizzi, Esq.

Michael Lizzi is a partner at Maggiano, Digirolano & Lizzi. He practices complex and standard tort litigation in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey, in the fields of medical and hospital negligence, nursing home negligence, wrongful death, motor vehicle collision and highway design negligence, property and building defects, and defective consumer products.

Mr. Lizzi received his Juris Doctrate and graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top 4% of his class from New York Law School in 1991. Before receiving his law degree, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University in 1988.

Before joining Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi in 1996 as an associate, Mr. Lizzi worked as a litigation associate in the New York firm of Novick, Edelstein, Lubell, Reisman, Wasserman & Leventhal, P.C., joining that firm in 1991. He has also interned for the Honorable Marie Lambert of the New York State Surrogate Court,in New York County.

Since becoming a partner at the firm in 1999, Mr. Lizzi has employed many of the traits that, today, make the firm unique-thoroughness, responsiveness, and a willingness to immerse himelf in diverse areas, from medical specialities to legal standards derived from regulations, statutes and industry practices.

His level of commitment had paid off for the firm's clients as well: since beginning his tenure with the firm, Mr. Lizzi has accumulated verdicts and settlements of ovcer $30 million with over $13 million in the past five years alone.

In April 2008, Mr. Lizzi led the firm in establishing it's thriving New Yrok practice at 800 Riverside Drive in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan.

E. Diane Brody, Esq.

An experienced attorney with a versatile practice, Diane provides a full range of legal services. Her areas of practice include civil and criminal litigation, licensing, contracts, landlord-tenant, real-estate transactions, civil rights, wills and estates, and matrimonial law. In addition to providing personal representation to individuals and small business owners, she caters to the creative community, providing personal representation to a variety of artists including jazz musicians and visual artists.

Before starting her own law firm, Diane was a trial attorney with The Legal Aid Society of New York where she worked in the civil division representing tenants in the Bronx and later in the criminal defense division where she represented individuals charged with misdemeanors and felonies in Manhattan.

Diane received a B.A. in History and a B.A. in International Studies from The Ohio State University and a J.D. from Capitol University of Law in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to attending law school, she was a Ph.D. student at The Graduate Faculty of The New School for Social Research where she studied Comparative-Historical Sociology.

Diane is admitted to practice in New York and is fluent in German.
